Spasmalgon is a combined preparation, possessing strong spasmolytic and analgesic effect on the smooth muscles. Spasmalgon combines analgesic, spasmolytic (papaverin-like), cholinolytic (atropin-like) and antiinflammatory activity of the components. The effects concern predominantly the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal and urogenital tract. The preparation has long-lasting effect, which is of particular importance for the treatment of diseases such as nephrolithiasis and cholelithiasis. Analgin possesses analgesic, antipyretic, antiinflammatory and spasmolytic effects, manifested in a different extent. Pitofenone hydrochloride exerts papaverin-like spasmolytic effect on the vascular and extra-vascular smooth muscules (stomach, intestines, urinary and biliary tract, uterus). Fenpiverinium bromide possesses a ganglioblocking, parasympathicolytic action. It reduces the motoriality and tonus of the stomach and intestines, and induces gallbladder and biliary tract relaxation. The components of the combination possess additive effect. |
